Reuben Porter is a British furniture designer and maker, and a recent graduate of Birmingham School of Art. Since launching his practice in 2025, he has begun to build a quiet reputation, receiving recognition through awards including the Conran Shop Design Award . His work explores how familiar forms can be gently reinterpreted for contemporary use, with a process led by material, making, and curiosity. Moving between one-off pieces and scalable production, Reuben creates thoughtful, engaging work that combines technical function with a sense of playfulness and personality, without being confined to a single style or approach.

Conceptualised with the intention of creating surprising comfort, the ‘T’ staked stool plays on the typology of the milking stool by challenging seating ergonomics with two laminated forms.
