COYLE STUDIO is an independent knitwear brand founded by designer Izzy Coyle. With a strong focus on craftsmanship, each piece is made in-house by Izzy herself using either deadstock or locally sourced yarns. To avoid overproduction, we primarily operate on a made-to-order basis, creating each piece from start to finish. Raised in Manchester, Izzy moved to London to study textile design at Chelsea College of Art. After earning her degree, she launched her brand and worked as a freelance knitwear designer. Now back in Manchester, Izzy has set up her studio to continue her practice and expand Coyle Studio. Coyle Studio is an exploration of colour, conscious design and craftsmanship, driven by an interest in everyday objects and materials. Izzy’s design process begins with paper collages that are then developed into knitted fabrics for clothing and accessories. Each piece reflects a commitment to quality hand made pieces and good design.

Otto Stool
with Eleanor Murphy
‘Otto stool’ is a collaboration of crafts between knitwear collective Clax + Coyle and designer Eleanor Murphy. The stool is an exploration of materials, looking at physical and visual manipulation of knitted structures, anchored to the stool’s frame to create tension within the knit. Rethinking traditional upholstery, the stool combines metal with textiles; the stool has interchangeable upholstery which stretches and ties to the metal structure.
