Trolley Chair

What does it mean to make do as designers? We found our answer in a fire extinguisher trolley and workshop leftovers. Our focus was set on preserving the curves of the trolley, so that the new object would carry the language of what it used to be: to achieve this we limited the cuts (hand sawn) and welds to the minimum amount that would allow us to form a stable object suited for sitting. Since the trolley did not provide us with any flat surfaces, to create the seat and back rest we outsourced a small metal sheet and some plywood from the AA workshop’s leftovers.
