My incense holder was developed through the limitation of creating an object from a single off-cut of aluminium round bar. The design of the pieces necessitated the use of a lathe, which I was only able to access through a colleague outside of work hours, which consequently limited the amount of time I had available.
The radius and hole size changed from the original design as I could only use the tooling available in the workshop rather than purchase something new. The bottom hole size matches the incense stick’s thickness so that it can be fixed vertically, allowing ash to fall into the void.
